About Maryland Cities
Maryland is a state located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. It is bordered by Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. Maryland is home to a variety of cities, each with its own unique character and attractions.
The largest city in Maryland is Baltimore, which is also the state’s capital. Baltimore is a vibrant city with a rich history and culture. It is home to the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, and the Baltimore Museum of Art. The city is also known for its seafood, especially its famous crab cakes.
The second largest city in Maryland is Frederick. This city is known for its historic downtown area, which is filled with shops, restaurants, and galleries. It is also home to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine and the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site.
Annapolis is the state’s capital and is located on the Chesapeake Bay. It is home to the United States Naval Academy and the Maryland State House. Annapolis is also known for its sailing and seafood.
Rockville is a city located in Montgomery County. It is home to the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the National Institutes of Health. Rockville is also known for its vibrant arts and culture scene.
Gaithersburg is a city located in Montgomery County. It is home to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds and the Gaithersburg Arts Barn. Gaithersburg is also known for its diverse population and its many parks and trails.
Hagerstown is a city located in Washington County. It is home to the Hagerstown Suns Minor League Baseball team and the Hagerstown Speedway. Hagerstown is also known for its historic downtown area and its many museums and galleries.
Salisbury is a city located in Wicomico County. It is home to the Salisbury Zoo and the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art. Salisbury is also known for its seafood and its many festivals and events.
Ocean City is a city located on the Atlantic Coast. It is home to the Ocean City Boardwalk and the Ocean City Beach. Ocean City is also known for its many restaurants, shops, and attractions.
