Washington Park Summary

Washington Park is a village located in St. Clair County, Illinois, United States. The population was 4,945 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Metro-East region of the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area.

History

Washington Park was founded in 1876 by a group of German immigrants. The village was named after George Washington, the first president of the United States. The village was incorporated in 1891.

Geography

Washington Park is located at 38°30′N 90°7′W (38.50, -90.12). According to the 2010 census, Washington Park has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), all land.
