Hudson, Texas is a small town located in Angelina County, Texas. It is situated on the banks of the Angelina River, approximately 10 miles south of Lufkin, the county seat. Hudson is located at 31°14'25" North, 94°45'45" West (31.240278, -94.7625). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.7 km2), all of it land.

Hudson is a small town with a limited economy. The town is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, a pharmacy, and a few restaurants. The town also has a few manufacturing plants, including a paper mill and a lumber mill. The town is also home to a few small farms.

The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 3.09.
