Gregory Summary

Gregory, Texas is a small town located in the southeastern corner of San Patricio County, Texas. It is situated on the banks of the Nueces River, approximately 25 miles south of Corpus Christi. The town was founded in 1854 by a group of settlers from the nearby town of Refugio. The town was named after the first settler, William Gregory, who was a veteran of the Texas Revolution.

Geography

Gregory is located in the Coastal Plains region of Texas, which is characterized by flat terrain and sandy soils. The town is situated on the banks of the Nueces River, which provides a source of water for the town and its surrounding areas. The town is located approximately 25 miles south of Corpus Christi and is bordered by the cities of Refugio, Aransas Pass, and Ingleside.
