The second-largest county in South Dakota is Minnehaha County, which covers an area of 1,845 square miles. It is located in the southeastern part of the state and is home to the city of Sioux Falls, the largest city in the state. Minnehaha County is home to the Sioux Falls Regional Airport, the Sioux Falls Zoo, and the Great Plains Zoo.
The third-largest county in South Dakota is Lincoln County, which covers an area of 1,717 square miles. It is located in the central part of the state and is home to the city of Sioux Falls. Lincoln County is home to the Sioux Falls Regional Airport, the Sioux Falls Zoo, and the Great Plains Zoo.
The fourth-largest county in South Dakota is Codington County, which covers an area of 1,619 square miles. It is located in the northeastern part of the state and is home to the city of Watertown. Codington County is home to the Watertown Regional Airport, the Watertown Zoo, and the Codington County Historical Museum.
The fifth-largest county in South Dakota is Brown County, which covers an area of 1,541 square miles. It is located in the northeastern part of the state and is home to the city of Aberdeen. Brown County is home to the Aberdeen Regional Airport, the Storybook Land amusement park, and the Brown County Fairgrounds.
