Greene County, Indiana is located in the southwestern part of the state, and is part of the Bloomington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Greene County covers an area of 437 square miles, of which 434 square miles is land and 3 square miles is water. The county is drained by the White River, which flows through the center of the county.

Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.2% of the population.
