Crow Wing County Summary

Crow Wing County is located in the north-central region of Minnesota, and is part of the Brainerd Lakes Area. It is bordered by Cass County to the north, Aitkin County to the east, Morrison County to the south, and Wadena County to the west. The county seat is Brainerd, and the county has a total area of 1,845 square miles.

History

Crow Wing County was established in 1857, and was named after the Crow Wing River, which was named after the Ojibwe term for the area,
