Trevose Summary

Trevose is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,890 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

History

Trevose was originally part of Bensalem Township, which was established in 1692. The area was first settled in the late 17th century by English Quakers. The name Trevose is derived from the Welsh word tref, meaning "town" or "village". The area was known as Trevose Station until the early 20th century, when it was changed to Trevose.

Geography

Trevose is located at 40°7′17″N 75°3′17″W (40.121400, -75.054700). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), all of it land.

Economy
