Mill Village borough Summary

Village Borough is a borough located in the state of Pennsylvania. It is located in the southeastern corner of the state, and is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The borough is home to a population of approximately 1,500 people, and is located in Allegheny County.

History

The area that is now Village Borough was originally inhabited by the Lenape Native Americans. The first European settlers arrived in the area in the late 1700s, and the area was officially incorporated as a borough in 1872. The borough was named for the numerous mill villages that were located in the area. These villages were built to house the workers of the many mills that were located in the area.
The borough was an important part of the industrial revolution in the area, and was home to many factories and mills. The borough was also home to a number of coal mines, which provided employment for many of the residents. The borough was also home to a number of churches, schools, and other businesses.
