History
The area that is now Eagleview was originally inhabited by the Lenape Native Americans. The first European settlers arrived in the area in the late 17th century. The area was part of the original land grant given to William Penn in 1681. The area was known as “Eagleview” by the early 19th century, and the name was officially adopted in 1854.
The area was primarily agricultural until the late 19th century, when the railroad arrived and the area began to develop. The first post office was established in 1876, and the first school was built in 1877. The area continued to grow throughout the 20th century, and by the 2000 census, the population had grown to 4,845.

Eagleview is located at 39°58'45"N 75°37'45"W (39.979167, -75.629167). It is situated in the southeastern corner of Chester County, approximately 25 miles west of Philadelphia. The CDP has a total area of 2.2 square miles, all of which is land.
The area is mostly flat, with some rolling hills. The terrain is mostly wooded, with some open fields. The climate is humid continental, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters.

The economy of Eagleview is largely based on agriculture and light industry. The area is home to several small businesses, including a few restaurants, a grocery store, and a few retail stores. The area is also home to several large employers, including a manufacturing plant, a distribution center, and a medical center.
