Dudley Borough is a small borough located in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the northeast corner of the county, and is bordered by the townships of Salem, Dyberry, and Clinton. The population of Dudley Borough was 1,093 at the 2010 census.
Geography
Dudley Borough is located at 41°33'25"N 75°20'45"W (41.556944, -75.345833). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.
The borough is located in the Pocono Mountains region of Pennsylvania. The terrain is mostly hilly, with some flat areas. The highest point in the borough is 1,890 feet (576 m) above sea level.
History
Dudley Borough was founded in 1845 by a group of settlers from New York. The borough was named after Dudley, Massachusetts, the hometown of one of the settlers.
The borough was incorporated in 1851. In the late 19th century, the borough was a popular summer resort destination for wealthy families from New York City.
Economy
The economy of Dudley Borough is largely based on tourism. The borough is home to several resorts, including the Skytop Lodge, which is a popular destination for weddings and other events.

The racial makeup of the borough was 97.2% White, 0.7% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 0.2% from other races, and 1.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.3% of the population.
There were 441 households, out of which 28.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.6% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.2% were non-families. 28.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 3.04.
