Spivey s Corner Summary
Spivey's Corner is a small unincorporated community located in Sampson County, North Carolina. It is situated at the intersection of US Highway 421 and NC Highway 242, approximately 8 miles south of Clinton, the county seat. The community is named after the Spivey family, who were among the first settlers in the area.
History
The area that is now Spivey's Corner was first settled in the late 1700s by the Spivey family. The Spiveys were among the first settlers in the area and were instrumental in the development of the community. The first post office in the area was established in 1883 and was named Spivey's Corner.
