Caldwell County Summary

Caldwell County is located in the western part of North Carolina, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is bordered by Alexander, Burke, Catawba, Watauga, and Wilkes counties. The county seat is Lenoir, and the largest city is Hudson. Economy

Caldwell County’s economy is largely based on manufacturing, with major employers including furniture and textile companies. The county is also home to several wineries and vineyards, as well as a growing tourism industry. Agriculture is also an important part of the local economy, with the county’s main crops being corn, soybeans, and tobacco.
