Brinson Summary
Brinson is a small town located in Decatur County, Georgia, United States. It is situated on the banks of the Flint River, approximately 20 miles south of Bainbridge. The population of Brinson was estimated to be 545 in 2019.
History
Brinson was founded in 1887 by the Reverend J.W. Brinson, a Methodist minister. He named the town after his father, who had been a prominent figure in the area. The town was incorporated in 1891 and was the first incorporated town in Decatur County.
