Darbydale Summary
Darbydale is a small village located in Madison County, Ohio. It is situated in the southwestern part of the state, approximately 20 miles east of Columbus. The village has a population of approximately 1,000 people and is part of the Columbus Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
The area that is now Darbydale was first settled in the early 1800s by a group of settlers from Pennsylvania. The village was originally known as “Darby’s Dale” after the first settler, John Darby. The village was officially incorporated in 1837 and was named after the Darby family.
