Guilford, Missouri is a small town located in the Ozark Mountains of southwestern Missouri. It is situated in Ozark County, approximately 20 miles south of the Arkansas border. The town is located in Ozark County, and is surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest. The nearest major cities are Springfield, Missouri, which is approximately 70 miles to the northeast, and Fayetteville, Arkansas, which is approximately 50 miles to the south.
The terrain around Guilford is mostly hilly and forested, with some open fields and pastures. The town is situated in a valley, with the surrounding hills rising to an elevation of around 1,000 feet. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters.
