Bourbon, Missouri is a small town located in Crawford County, Missouri. It is situated on the banks of the Meramec River, approximately 40 miles southwest of St. Louis. The town was founded in 1819 and is named after the French royal family of Bourbon. The population of Bourbon was 1,845 as of the 2010 census.

Bourbon is located at 38°19'25"N 91°14'17"W (38.323607, -91.237945). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all of it land.
Economy
Bourbon is a small town with a limited economy. The town is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, a restaurant, and a few other small shops. The town also has a few manufacturing plants, including a plastics plant and a metal fabrication plant. The town is also home to a few small farms.
Demographics
As of the 2010 census, there were 1,845 people, 745 households, and 486 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,539.2 people per square mile (595.2/km2). There were 817 housing units at an average density of 681.3 per square mile (263.7/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.2% White, 0.3% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 0.2% from other races, and 1.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.
There were 745 households, out of which 28.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.2% were married couples living together, 11.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% were non-families. 30.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.97.
In the town, the population was spread out, with 24.2% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 25.2% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 18.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 91.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.2 males.
