Sperry's economy is largely based on agriculture and related industries. The town is home to several farms and ranches, as well as a few small businesses. The town also has a few restaurants and convenience stores.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,845 people, 690 households, and 517 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,539.2 people per square mile (595.2/km2).
