Swan Summary
Swan is a small unincorporated community located in the state of Iowa in the United States. It is situated in the northwest corner of the state, in the county of Dickinson. The population of Swan was estimated to be around 200 people in 2020.
History
Swan was first settled in the late 1800s by a group of German immigrants. The town was named after the nearby Swan Lake, which was named after the swans that were seen in the area. The first post office was established in 1883.
