Black/African American vs Tlingit-Haida Community Comparison

When considering income, the most significant differences between Black/African American and Tlingit-Haida communities in the United States are seen in householder income ages 25 - 44 years ($73,370 compared to $92,987, a difference of 26.7%), householder income under 25 years ($44,381 compared to $55,914, a difference of 26.0%), and median household income ($67,573 compared to $83,968, a difference of 24.3%). Conversely, both communities are more comparable in terms of wage/income gap (21.7% compared to 24.0%, a difference of 10.3%), median female earnings ($35,315 compared to $39,513, a difference of 11.9%), and median earnings ($40,085 compared to $45,468, a difference of 13.4%).

When considering poverty, the most significant differences between Black/African American and Tlingit-Haida communities in the United States are seen in child poverty among girls under 16 (24.7% compared to 14.7%, a difference of 68.2%), family poverty (13.3% compared to 8.0%, a difference of 66.3%), and child poverty under the age of 16 (24.4% compared to 14.9%, a difference of 64.5%).
