Adams County Summary

Adams County is located in the south-central region of North Dakota, and is bordered by Hettinger County to the north, Grant County to the east, Bowman County to the south, and Slope County to the west. The county seat is Hettinger, and the county was named after John Adams, the second president of the United States. Adams County is located in the Badlands region of North Dakota, and is characterized by rolling hills, grasslands, and badlands.
