Loganville Summary
Loganville is a small village located in the town of York, Green County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,093 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
Loganville was founded in 1845 by William Logan, a settler from Ohio. He purchased the land from the government and built a log cabin. The village was originally known as Logansville, but the name was changed to Loganville in 1856.
The village was incorporated in 1872 and the first mayor was William Logan. The village grew slowly but steadily over the years, and by the early 1900s it had become a thriving community.
Geography
Loganville is located at 43°11'17" North, 89°45'45" West (43.1879, -89.7625). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.

Loganville is a small, rural community with a primarily agricultural economy. The village is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, a restaurant, and a few other small shops.

The racial makeup of the village was 98.54% White, 0.09% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.09% from other races, and 1.09% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.37% of the population.
There were 431 households, out of which 33.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.2% were married couples living together, 8.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.7% were non-families. 27.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 3.09.
In the village, the population was spread out, with 27.2% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 21.2% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.2 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $41,250, and the median income for a family was $48,750. Males had a median income of $31,250 versus $22,500 for females. The per capita income for the village was $18,945. About 4.2% of families and 5.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 6.2% of those under age 18 and 5.2% of those age 65 or over.
