Downsville, Wisconsin is a small village located in Dunn County, Wisconsin. It is situated on the banks of the Chippewa River, about 20 miles east of Eau Claire. The village has a population of about 500 people and is part of the Chippewa Valley region.

Downsville was founded in 1856 by William Downs, a settler from New York. He purchased land from the Chippewa Indians and built a sawmill and gristmill on the banks of the Chippewa River. The village was named after him.
