Melba Summary

Melba, Idaho is a small town located in Canyon County, Idaho. It is situated in the Treasure Valley, approximately 20 miles west of Boise. The population of Melba was 1,093 at the 2010 census.

History

The area that is now Melba was first settled in the late 1800s by homesteaders. The town was named after Melba, the daughter of one of the first settlers. The town was officially incorporated in 1910.
