Weiner Summary

Weiner, Arkansas is a small city located in Poinsett County in the northeastern part of the state. It is situated along the White River, approximately 30 miles south of Jonesboro and 40 miles north of Memphis, Tennessee. The city has a population of approximately 2,500 people and is the county seat of Poinsett County.

History

Weiner was founded in 1873 by a group of settlers from the nearby town of Harrisburg. The town was named after a local merchant, John Weiner, who had a store in the area.
