Beaver Borough is a borough located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located along the Ohio River, approximately 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The population was 4,521 at the 2010 census.
History
Beaver Borough was founded in 1802 by a group of settlers from New Jersey. The borough was named after the nearby Beaver River, which was named after the beaver population that once inhabited the area. The borough was incorporated in 1868.
In the late 19th century, Beaver Borough was a thriving industrial center, with several steel mills, coal mines, and other industries. The borough was also home to several large manufacturing companies, including the Beaver Steel Works, which produced steel for the railroads.

Beaver Borough is located at 40°45'25"N 80°17'45"W (40.756944, -80.295833). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all of it land.

Beaver Borough is home to several businesses, including a variety of retail stores, restaurants, and other services. The borough is also home to several manufacturing companies, including the Beaver Steel Works, which produces steel for the railroads.
Demographics
As of the census of 2010, there were 4,521 people, 1,845 households, and 1,093 families residing in the borough. The population density was 3,788.3 people per square mile (1,461.2/km2). There were 2,039 housing units at an average density of 1,711.7 per square mile (661.2/km2). The racial makeup of the borough was 97.2% White, 0.7% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.4% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.4% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.
There were 1,845 households, out of which 28.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 39.2% were married couples living together, 14.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.2% were non-families. 35.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 3.05.
In the borough the population was spread out, with 24.2% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 91.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.2 males.
The median income for a household in the borough was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $37,500. Males had a median income of $30,000 versus $21,250 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $15,945.
