East Wenatchee Summary
History
East Wenatchee is a city located in the north-central part of Washington State, in the United States. It is located on the east side of the Columbia River, across from the city of Wenatchee. The city was founded in 1909 and incorporated in 1910.
The area was originally inhabited by the Wenatchi people, who were part of the Salish-speaking tribes of the Columbia Plateau. The Wenatchi people were hunter-gatherers who lived in the area for thousands of years before the arrival of European settlers.
