Crosslake Summary
Crosslake is a city located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,062 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area.
History
Crosslake was originally known as "Cross Lake" and was a logging camp in the late 1800s. The name was changed to Crosslake in the early 1900s. The city was incorporated in 1921.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), of which 1.1 square miles (2.8 km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km2) is water.
Economy
Crosslake is a popular tourist destination, with many resorts and campgrounds located in the area. The city is also home to several businesses, including a grocery store, hardware store, and several restaurants.
Demographics
As of the census of 2010, there were 1,062 people, 463 households, and 287 families residing in the city. The population density was 962.7 people per square mile (372.2/km2). There were 545 housing units at an average density of 493.6 per square mile (190.7/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 97.2% White, 0.2% African American, 0.7% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 0.2% from other races, and 1.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.7% of the population.
There were 463 households, out of which 24.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.2% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.2% were non-families. 32.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.86.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 22.7% from 25 to 44, 28.2% from 45 to 64, and 20.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.2 males.
