Mallory Summary
Mallory, West Virginia is a small town located in the eastern part of the state, in the Appalachian Mountains. It is situated in the heart of the Monongahela National Forest, and is surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills. The town is home to just over 500 people, and is a popular destination for outdoor recreation.
History
Mallory was founded in 1891 by the Mallory family, who had moved to the area from Pennsylvania. The town was named after the family’s patriarch, William Mallory. The town was originally a small farming community, and the Mallory family owned a large portion of the land in the area. In the early 1900s, the town began to grow as more people moved to the area to take advantage of the abundant natural resources.
