Forman is a city located in Sargent County, North Dakota. It is the county seat of Sargent County and is located along the Sheyenne River. The city has a population of 1,521 as of the 2010 census.

Forman is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 281 and North Dakota Highway 13. It is situated in the Sheyenne River Valley, which is part of the Red River Valley. The city is located approximately 50 miles south of Fargo and 70 miles north of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
