Wooster Summary

Wooster is a small town located in the northwest corner of Arkansas, in the Ozark Mountains. It is situated in the foothills of the Ozarks, and is surrounded by the White River and its tributaries. The town is located in Madison County, and is part of the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Wooster was founded in 1883 by a group of settlers from the nearby town of Fayetteville. The town was named after the Wooster family, who were among the first settlers. The town was originally a farming community, and the main crops grown were cotton, corn, and wheat.
